Creative Writing Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity that sponsors cancer patients in writing courses. We take great delight in assisting those who need our support. Our personal tutors rescue storm tossed lives one by one. Our goal is to escort them from their present level to their highest individual potential.
We also have a writing division for the general public, and use a three-pronged approach:
- We present professional material in a practical and simple method.
- Every student receives a private tutor; therefore, we don't use school terms. They can start their course on the same day they enroll.
- At the end of the course, we evaluate them and recommend the next best choice on their ladder of learning
Students range from ages 14 to 80+. We especially like to reach the middle-aged and older folks who finally reach for their star. Sometimes they say, “I’m too old to learn,” or “I can’t remember things like I used to.” That's fine. We make learning fun and we inspire them with personal interaction and lots of cheerleading.
Some students like to hobby write. Others write to leave a legacy, and still others dream of writing for a living. All of these reasons are valid. We help them set attainable goals that fit within their ability to learn.
Students who apply themselves will learn new skills that they will use the rest of their lives.
We love our job!
