Creative Writing Institute’s Goals
Creative Writing Institute’s goal is to escort its students from their present level of learning to their highest individual potential.
Our program has a three-pronged approach:
- We present professional material in such a way that every student understands it and is able to put it into practice
- Personal tutors escort students through the maze of rules and procedures of writing
- At the end of the course, we evaluate students and recommend the next best move on their ladder of learning
Our students range from ages 14 to 80+. We would especially like to reach the middle-aged and older folks who dare to reach for their dream. That’s what we do at Creative Writing Institute – we grant dreams – but first you must reach for it.
One of the comments I hear most is, “I’m too old to learn,” or “I can’t remember things like I used to.” Due to a medical problem, I have no short-term memory, but I continue to take classes at nearly 70 years of age. I will always take classes. Although I don’t consciously absorb a lot and I have no instant recall, somehow a remnant sinks in and eventually finds its way back out through my fingers. If I can do it, you can do it, too!
Some want to write as a hobby. Some want to write for a few extra bucks. Some want to write stories and novels, to make a living doing what they love best. I have the same message for all of you – if you will step out and stretch to get what you want, you CAN do it.
At Creative Writing Institute, you will find a personable school, attainable goals, tailored to you and your needs. You won’t be a number to us. We know all of our students on a first name basis, but learning is work, and I won’t kid you about that. Are you willing to work? C’mon. Invest in your dream. Make it a priority.
