Our Goal
We, as a staff, vow to live our lives with the urgency of rescuing storm tossed lives, one after the other, and will do our utmost to escort every student from his/her present level to their highest individual potential.
Our program has a three-pronged approach:
- We present professional material in a practical and simple method
- Private tutors personally escort students through the maze of unwritten rules and procedures of writing
- At the end of the course, we evaluate students and recommend the next best choice on their ladder of learning
Our students range from ages 14 to 80+. We especially like to reach the middle-aged and older folks who dare to reach for their dream. That’s what we do at Creative Writing Institute – we grant dreams.
One of the comments I hear most is, “I’m too old to learn,” or “I can’t remember things like I used to.” Although I have a medical condition that has literally destroyed my short term memory, I continue to take classes at 70 years of age. Although I don’t consciously absorb a lot and I have little instant recall, it keeps me motivated and in a learning mode.
Some people like to hobby write. Others write for money. Some just want to leave a legacy. I have the same message for all of you – if you will step out and s-t-r-e-t-c-h yourself, you can have your dream.
We will lead you to attainable goals and tailor them to meet your needs. You will never be a number to us. We know all of our students on a first name basis. C’mon. Invest in yourself. Make it a priority. We'll help you build a ladder to the stars!
